The Usual Suspects
Born and bred in the city that never sleeps, Amira made her way from Brooklyn (NY) to the sun-kissed shores of San Diego in 2016, proudly calling it her new home.
Drawing inspiration from her Algerian & Egyptian heritage and the multitude of cultures that surrounded her in New York, Amira cultivates musical experiences that encompass the beautiful sounds that exist around the world, transporting audiences into a realm where cultures collide and emotions unite. Her performances have embraced a variety of exotic vibes from Africa to the Mediterranean, and infectious rhythm and beats from South America to the Caribbean. However, when the crowd calls for some booty-shaking energy, you can catch her in her element as she pays homage to her NYC roots by throwing down some groovy urban beats and bouncy tech-house.
Amira's journey has led her to grace the stages of events such as FNGRS CRSSD, Same Same But Different, Music is 4 Lovers, The Mustache Bash, West Coast Weekender, and The Afternoon Umbrella Friends. She’s had the honor of playing direct support for renowned artists such as Traumer, Sydney Blu, Jon Charnis and Yuksek, and has opened for Derrick Carter, Crazy P, Gene Farris and Black Circle.
Amira’s commitment to spreading love across all communities and fostering unity & connection through music has, and continues to be, her guiding force.
